Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take decisive steps to safeguard Nigeria’s democracy from what he described as desperate politicians seeking to undermine the system.

Governor Uzodinma made the call at the APC National Executive Council meeting held at the State House, Abuja.

He also called for closer collaboration between the federal and state governments to identify and expose political actors allegedly sponsoring insecurity at the sub-national level.

Uzodinma reaffirmed the governors’ commitment to supporting the Federal Government’s security efforts, pledging full cooperation in uncovering individuals using political cover to fund and promote violence.

He stressed that tackling insecurity requires collective action and transparency to ensure that democracy and national stability are not threatened.
