Vice President Kashim Shettima has expressed strong confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership ahead of the 2027 general election.

He stated this at the APC NEC meeting held at the state House Abuja.

He described any challenge to the President as a political choice left to individuals willing to take what he termed a suicidal path.

Shettima emphasized that while Nigeria remains a democracy where anyone is free to contest, Tinubu’s record and experience place him in a commanding position.

Shettima noted that electoral success goes beyond online popularity, stressing that elections are not won through social media engagement or public noise alone.

He highlighted the importance of broad-based coalitions, credibility, and conviction, arguing that these factors, rather than nostalgia or digital activism, determine victory at the polls.
