Kwara state government has assured its determination to continue to prioritise investment in digital ,Science and Technical education to improve standard of education in the state.
Senior Advisor and Counselor to Kwara state governor, Alhaji Sa’adudeen Salahu stated this while speaking at a media parly themed “The New Kwara In Kwara poly” organised the Department of Strategic Communication,and Media Studies held in Ilorin.

According to him with the geometric rate at which the population growth the state government has used digital tools to improve service delivery and enhance education development.
He said the establishment of the smart schools has made it easier for the state to meet up with the digital literacy requirements.
Alhaji Salahu said the polytechnic has been ranked numbers four among the institutions in the country which is a clear testimony to the investment of the state government in education .
The Senior Advisor advised students to face their studies adequately inorder to have a better future.
In an address the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Hajiya Sa’adatu Modibbo-Kawu, represented by the Director special services ,Mrs Rodihat Yahaya appreciated the organiser of the programme for strategically positioning the students for greater opportunities.
She commended the students of the polytechnic for their contributions to the growth and development of the institution.
In his remarks the Chairman of the occasion, and immediate past Non- Executive Director of the NNPC ,Dr. Ghali Alaya commended the management of the Polytechnic for protecting the facilities of the institution.
Dr Ghali reminded the students that it is what they bring out of the institution that matters most, adding that they should complement the efforts of their parents by planing a good thing for their life.
For his part the Rector Kwara state Polytechnic Ilorin,Dr Abdul Jimoh , said the state government has given approval for the perimeter fencing of the polytechnic to put an end to the challenges of land grabbers in the institution.
Dr Jimoh maintained that the idea is to ensure safety and security on the polytechnic community.
