Kaduna State Government has announced a new direction focused on peace, unity, and people-centered leadership in the state.

The Commissioner for Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, made the declaration during strategic engagement visits to Vision FM and Maria FM in Kaduna. .

He said the administration of Governor Uba Sani is committed to reversing policies that previously caused anxiety and hardship for residents.

“The era of demolishing houses, arbitrary sacking of workers, and intimidating our people is over,” Maiyaki said.

“Governor Uba Sani is charting a new path, one rooted in peace, development, and respect for the people.”

Maiyaki urged media organizations to strengthen their collaboration with the government by seeking timely clarifications on public issues and helping curb misinformation.

He noted that the restoration of the Ministry of Information, scrapped for nearly a decade by the previous administration reflects the governor’s commitment to transparency.

A key focus of the new administration is the Kaduna Peace Model, a structured peace and security framework credited with restoring stability to areas previously troubled by banditry and kidnapping, including Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Kajuru, Kauru, Kachia, and Giwa local government areas.

“The Kaduna Peace Model is delivering real results. We need the media to amplify these successes and help sustain the gains,” he added.

At Vision FM, the Head of Administration, Malam Abdulhamid Idris, welcomed the engagement and assured the commissioner of the station’s readiness to collaborate closely with the government in promoting public interest.

During a visit to Maria FM, a non-commercial faith-based station, Maiyaki emphasized the importance of inclusive communication in promoting peace.

The station’s Director, Rev. Fr. Joseph Gwandu, expressed appreciation for the visit and pledged continued support for peace-focused messaging.

Maiyaki has delivered similar messages during earlier engagements with NTA Kaduna, FRCN Kaduna, Nagarta Radio, Liberty FM, DITV Kaduna, Hyai FM, Freedom FM, and Hamada FM.

He reaffirmed that Governor Uba Sani’s administration remains open, responsive, and accessible to the public, and is committed to fostering a safer, more stable, and united Kaduna State.
