Over 2,000 youths have been trained on using technology to build entrepreneurial ventures that will enable them to become self-reliant and employers of labour.

Speaking at the closing of the 3-day conference held in Ilorin, tagged Kwara Build Tech Conference, Next Builders, Build Africa’s Future Through Local Innovation & Global Vision (KBTEC ’25),” the lead organiser, Kamaldeen Kehinde, said the initiative is designed to connect youths with better opportunities.

He said the programme has trained participants on how to leverage technology infrastructure to address emerging challenges and create sustainable solutions.

According to him the the programme conceived in the past eight years has been able to train over ten thousand participants.

Kehinde explained that the initiative can be used to solve the security challenges bedeviling the nation through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

He said the use of CCTV cameras and robotics tracking can be adopted to solve insecurity problems in the country.

In their separate remarks, the co-founders of the training programme , Ibraheem Zulkifil and Mohammed Yahay said the essence of the initiative is to bring together stakeholders to work on how to use technology to solve problems in the communities.

They noted that at the end of the training youth and other service providers would be able to leverage on the use of technology to improve their productivity.

Some of the participants at the training, Akanji Aishat a Product Designer and Daniel Olowoniyi a Software Engineer expressed satisfaction with the knowledge acquired during the training.

They said artificial intelligence is now the core of everything which can be used to solve both human and community problems.
