Jigawa State Executive Council has approved a contract worth over ₦2 billion for the procurement of 1,180 units of Hunter-brand motorcycles for agricultural extension workers across the state.

This was disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen by the Commissioner for Information, Youths, Sports, and Culture, Alhaji Sagir Musa Ahmed, after the council meeting held at the Government House, Dutse.

He explained that the decision aligns with the state government’s commitment to strengthening agricultural development and supporting farmers at the grassroots level.

According to him, the approval recognizes the vital roles played by agricultural extension workers in equipping farmers with modern techniques aimed at improving productivity and ensuring bumper harvests across the state.
