The Ex-Officio of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Jigawa State Council, Usman Mohammed Zaria, has resigned from his position with immediate effect.

In a letter addressed to the State Chairman of the NUJ in Dutse, Zaria explained that the decision was necessary to enable him to concentrate fully on his primary assignment.

He expressed appreciation to the Council and his colleagues for the trust, cooperation, and support extended to him during his tenure.

Zaria, who has been an active member of the Union, reaffirmed his commitment to the growth of the NUJ despite stepping down from his executive role.
