Federal Government has been urged to review the 2014 Pension Act in favour of retired workers across the country.

A retired Police Commissioner, Alhaji Abubakar Mairamri, made the appeal in a telephone interview in Abuja.

Alhaji Abubakar Mairamri stressed the need for the scrapping of the PENCON and PTAD to allow all retirees get their benefits devoid of stress caused by Bureaucracy.

He noted that the current arrangement only favours the elites at the expense of the Senior Citizens who sacrificed for the nation.

The retired Police Commissioner who warned against further maltreatment of pensioners nationwide reminded the relevant authorities of recent protests over the issue which may continue if NOT properly handled.
