Kaduna State Police Command has announced a restriction of movement on Saturday, 16th August 2025, starting from 12:00 am in Sabon Gari, Zaria, Chikun, and Kajuru Local Government Areas.

In a statement by the Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Mansir Hassan, the Commissioner of Police explained that the measure is part of the security arrangements put in place ahead of the upcoming bye-elections in the affected areas.

He stated that the aim is to ensure public safety, prevent any breach of peace, and guarantee a smooth and orderly electoral process.

The Commissioner advised the public to comply with the directive, noting that only personnel on essential duties and those with valid election assignments will be exempted.

The Command urges residents to conduct themselves peacefully and cooperate with security agencies to ensure a hitch-free election.
