Governor Babagana Zulum has warned members of the Borno State Executive Council against negligence in discharging their duties.

Governor Zulum issued the warning shortly after presiding over the swearing-in ceremony of the two recently appointed commissioners and a member of the Borno State Judicial Council Commission.

Radio Nigeria reports that the oath of office and allegiance were administered to the appointees by the State Chief Judge, Justice Kashim Zannah, at the Government House.

The sworn-in officials include Engineer Mohammed Habib and Ibrahim Hassan as commissioners, while Alhaji Abba Sadiq was sworn in as a member of the Borno State Judicial Council Commission.

The Governor reminded the new commissioners that their appointments to the State Executive Council are evidence of their exceptional capabilities and the immense value his administration places on their expertise. With this honor, the Governor added, comes a profound responsibility to deliver on the administration’s promises to the people of Borno State.

He expressed optimism that they will bring their wealth of experience, knowledge, skills, and innovative thinking to bear in their new roles.

Governor Zulum further commended the Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, and the Chief Judge of Borno State, Kashim Zannah, for maintaining a cordial relationship with the executive arm.

Speaking on behalf of his sworn-in colleagues, Engineer Mohammed Habib expressed gratitude to the Governor while assuring him of their commitment towards achieving the administration’s goals.

The specific portfolios for the newly appointed commissioners have not yet been announced.
