Federal Government Pensioners will resume peaceful protests on Monday next week over their unresolved grievances.

A statement by the Coordinator, Comrade Mukaila Ogunbote and Secretary Gbadamosi-Ganiyu advised the retirees to be orderly and avoid destruction of government property during the protest.

It says the protest follows a meeting on strategy to be adopted, during the demonstration saying that senior citizens are expected to converge at designated centres including Ministry of Finance, Accountant-General’s office and the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate.

The statement expressed dismay over alleged refusal of the relevant authorities to settle debt owed them despite letters written over such issue blamed on insensitivity to human sufferings in a democracy.
