Federal Government has been advised to implement a wage increase for workers in its media agencies as a means of boosting productivity and supporting the goals of good governance.

A financial expert, Professor Yusha’u Ibrahim Ango, gave the advice during an interview in Kaduna.

Professor Yusha’u Ango also stressed the need for journalists in the country to abide by ethics of their Profession to avoid unnecessary controversy witnessed in Niger State recently.

The Financial expert, who was dismayed over alleged sanction against a Radio Station by the State Government, noted that it was the responsibility of the National Broadcasting Commission to regulate the industry.

Professor Yusha’u Ango also suggested judicious expenditure of the nation’s resources for social economic development project ta meet public aspiration rather than white elephant projects and called on the national assembly to intervene.
