The sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigeria Supreme Council For Islamic Affairs,  Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar the Third has warned against religious bigotry and sowing seeds of discord among religious circles so as to assist in sustaining government and security agents efforts aimed at lasting peaceful coexistence in the country.

The Sultan made the call at the commissioning of Darul Ilm Centre for Islamic Studies at Millennium City, Kaduna which was Build and donated by the Director General, Department of State Security Services (DSS), Mr. Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi for orphans and indigents children.

He emphasized that Nigeria is capable of surmounting her security and every other challenge with unity of purpose and proper religious teachings to the younger generation.

Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar described the appointments of Mr. Oluwatosin Ajayi as one of the best appointments made by the present administration and therefore directed that the Centre be named after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Emir of Zazzau, Dr. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli said the centre remains a lasting legacy that will instill religious discipline and tolerance describing the gesture as a sign of better things to come for the country.

In their separate speeches, Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun and that of Budget and National Planning, Mr. Atiku Bagudu maintained that the Centre will assist in the realization of President Tinubu’s vision for the country and emphasized the need for Nigerians to cultivate the habit of providing skills and education for the young ones so as to inspire them for a better future.

Deputy Governor of the Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarebe appreciated the DG DSS stating that the Centre was established at a time when the State was reinvigorating the educational sector, addressing food insecurity and poverty.

In a message, the DSS Director General, Mr. Oluwatosin Adeola said commissioning of the Islamic School was aimed at building trust between Government and the general public to bolster internal security through constructive citizens engagement, interfaith dialogue and policy discourse.
