The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) says it has nearly completed the airlift of pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj, with 36,359 Nigerians already transported to Saudi Arabia.

According to Fatima Sanda Usara, Assistant Director of Information and Publication, only 5,494 government-quota pilgrims remain as the final phase of airlift begins.

She noted that three private airlines will conclude operations soon one from Kaduna and another from Abuja by May 24, while the third wraps up in Kano and Katsina on May 25.

NAHCON has also scheduled mop-up flights in Kaduna, Abuja, and Kano on May 24.

On the Nusuk cards, Fatima urged calm, assuring that the Saudi Ministry has directed swift resolution. NAHCON is monitoring the process to ensure timely distribution.

It added that, the Commission’s Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, expressed gratitude to Allah for the smooth progress recorded so far.

He commended all stakeholders and praised the intending pilgrims for their patience and exemplary conduct throughout the process
