Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the North-West zone met in Kaduna to appraise the impact of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on the region and chart fresh strategies for party growth.

The parley, held at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Hall, drew an array of high-profile attendees, including Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abbas Tajuddeen; Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibril; and APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Current and former senators, state party chairmen and other stakeholders from the seven North-West states were also present.

In a communiqué issued after the closed-door session, participants reviewed progress recorded so far, identified lingering developmental gaps, and exchanged ideas on strengthening the party’s grassroots structures across the zone.

The discussions covered security, agriculture, youth employment and federal infrastructure projects.

The Speaker, Kaduna State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman said, the meeting provided a vital platform to take stock of how far the Renewed Hope Agenda has advanced in the geopolitical zone and to fine-tune our collective roadmap.

According to Yusuf Liman, the stakeholders “reaffirmed their unalloyed commitment and support” for President Tinubu, praising the administration’s “bold reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth, equity and prosperity.”

The forum resolved to set up issue-specific working groups that will interface with federal ministries and agencies to fast-track ongoing projects in the region.

It also mandated state chapters to deepen voter outreach ahead of forthcoming off-cycle elections.

The North-West, comprising Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto, Zamfara and Kebbi states, delivered the APC’s largest bloc of votes in the 2023 general election.

Party leaders said the region remains pivotal to consolidating the administration’s mandate and achieving its policy targets.
