Kaduna State Police Command has assured to continue to work within its powers to guarantee a stable security across the state.

Commissioner of Police- Umar Musa Muri gave the assurance at the flag off ceremony of Operation Puff Adder II in Kaduna.

Alhaji Umar Musa Muri explained that the sole aim of the operation was to reclaim the public space from criminals.

He maintained that the Inspector General of Police had instituted a framework which continually exposed its operations to specialized training designed to prepare personnel for the task ahead.

The Commissioner of Police, noted that the State and Country had been grappling with all forms of security threats, which must be permanently nipped in the bud to provide conducive atmosphere for socio-economic activities.

Alhaji Umar Musa Muri pointed out that in as much as major achievements had been recorded in the State from combined efforts of the Police, State Government and Sister agencies, the dynamic nature of crime continued to present new trends, which necessitated it to re-evaluate its strategies.

He charged officers deployed for the operation to see their deployment as a call to national duty, ensure justice is served in their operations and deal ruthlessly with criminals that might attempt to test their will in the line of duty.

The Commissioner of Police also warned the officers against being compromised, as adequate provisions had been made for their welfare during the exercise.

A total of Three Hundred and Two officers comprising of mobile police, counter terrorism and special forces were deployed to the State.
