Kaduna State Government, through the Immunization Plus Malaria Progress by Accelerating Coverage and Transforming Services IMPACT project, has inaugurated several refurbished primary health care centers across the state.

At one of the centers in Kaduna North Local Government Area, the World Bank Vice President for West and Central Africa, Ousmane Diagana, expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done.

He also pledged the World Bank’s continued support to Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole in addressing challenges in critical sectors such as health, education, environment, and hygiene, among others.

In a remark, Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Primary Healthcare Board Dr Bello Yusuf Jamo commended World Bank for refurbishing 143 out of 255 primary healthcare centers in the state.

The District Head of Doka, Sidi Sani Yero, who spoke on behalf of the benefiting communities, expressed gratitude to the IMPACT project for spearheading the revitalization of primary healthcare centers in Kaduna State.

Advocating for the regular maintenance of the refurbished facilities, the monarch assured that the centers would be judiciously utilized.

The inauguration was attended by IMPACT officials, traditional and religious leaders as well as civil society groups amongst others.
