The Media Focal Group of The Challenge Initiative (TCI) and Devcom, Sokoto state has carried out a review meeting aimed at looking at the challenges and prospects of reporting family planning activities in the state.
The Sokoto state TCI Manager, Dr Bello Abubakar Kilgori said the meeting reviewed activities of the TCI four years activities and provided perspectives on how to report this year’s activities for effective TCI/ Devcom project in the state.
The manager who highlighted the importance of Family Planning, appealed to the state government to intensifies efforts in supporting the TCI/Devcom activities in order to rapidly and sustainably scale high impact practices and other interventions with a view to reaching Urban communities in the state.
The media focal group rejoiced with other TCI/Devcom groups and Sokoto’s stakeholders for being the leading state in the country.
The group also shared ideas and experiences in a bid to ensuring effective service delivery this year.
A resource person at the gathering, Abdullahi Elkurebe provided well-formed guidelines to the group to enable them carryout their work effectively .
Radio Nigeria report that TCI/Devcom project is expected to end towards the end of this year.
