A public affairs analyst, Alhaji Idris Aliyu Kaura, says the Federal Government’s commitment to school safety nationwide is a step in the right direction.

Alhaji Idris Aliyu in an interview in Kaduna was delighted over measures adopted by the Ministry of Education to address insecurity in education institution, particularly. universities.

He stressed the need for public co-operation to ensure success of the initiatives in the interest of the nation considering reports of insecurity in the educational institutions described as threat to the sector.

Alhaji Idris Aliyu expressed the hope that everything possible would be done to justify such measures which should be supported by all stakeholders across the country.

Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education, Dr. Nasiru Sani Gwarzo, while commenting on the measures explained that a workshop conducted recently highlighted guidelines on how to address insecurity in schools to complement efforts of various institutions.
