Jigawa State government has distributed kitchen materials worth 22 million naira to boarding secondary schools.
In a speech, during distribution of the materials to principals and School Directors at boarding primary school Kudai, the commissioner Ministry of science and technology, Dr Lawan Yunusa Danzomo said provision of the materials was an indication of government commitment to education sector.
Represented by the permanent secretary of the Ministry Mallam Umar Sule Gwaram urged the heads of schools to make proper utilisation of the materials.
Also at the occasion, the state president, All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools ANCOPSS Mallam Haruna Bashir commended effort of the state for the concern towards boosting education sector.
In their response, the schools principals, commended government for providing the materials in their respective schools.
