Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has inaugurated the newly constructed Quarter Guard and remodelled Headquarters of the 22 Armoured Brigade at Sobi, Ilorin East Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking at the inauguration governor AbdulRazaq said the projects align with the philosophy of the Chief of Army Staff Command to sustain a culture of maintenance.

He said the unveiled three new vehicles and 10 motorcycles will enhance the operational capacity of the command.

According to him any money that is appropriated by the Federal Government through the National Assembly trickles down to the Army, adding that it is not just about buying weapons but also about putting infrastructure in place for the military to be able to do their work properly.


Governor AbdulRazaq commended the Nigerian Army for helping to keep the peace in the state .

For his part the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Ibadan ,Major General Obinna Onubogu, thanked the Governor for his various support to continues to strengthen the capacity of the command to maintain peace in the state.

He said the state governor has spared no effort at ensuring that the troops of the Nigerian Army within the state continues to carry out their operations.
