The Nigeria Labour Congress has directed All Affiliate Councils to embark on a Nation-Wide Mass Rally on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.

A communique issued by President of the NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero says the Union reject the 50 per cent increase in telecommunication tariff by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

He stated that, after the meeting of the National Administrative Council of Union on Wednesday, the NLC directs its affiliates and State Councils to embark on a nationwide mass rally on Tuesday, next week.

Comrade Ajaero explained that Nigerians were still battling minimum wage ₦70,000; hike in the price of petrol, high cost of food, hike in electricity tariff, rising inflation causing economic hardship..

NLC calls on all Nigerian workers, the informal sector, and the general public to stand in solidarity against unfair policy.

The NLC President maintained that the Nigeria Labour Congress remained committed to protecting the interests of Nigerian workers.
