The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) is set to present its 2025 Seasonal Climate Prediction (SCP) and the State of the Climate in Nigeria report to the public.

For the first time, the SCP will be made available in three major Nigerian languages to enhance accessibility and inclusivity.

This was disclosed in a statement by NiMet’s Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Charles Anosike, who emphasized the importance of early warnings in fostering a climate-resilient aviation industry and supporting sustainable socio-economic development.

Theme for 2025

The theme for this year’s SCP is “The Role of Early Warnings towards a Climate Resilient Aviation Industry for Sustainable Socio-Economic Development.”
