A multi million naira yam Processing factory is to be establish in Paiko Local Government Area by the Niger State Government to boost thier businesses and enhance their economic stability and viability.
State Governor Mohamed Umar Bago stated this when he visited the people of the area as part of his ongoing familiarization tour in the state to monitor the ongoing projects his government has embarked upon.
Mohammed Umar Bago explained that the people of Paikoro who are predominantly yam farmers deserved to have a modern yam Processing factory to process the commodities which will enhance their economic well-being in the area and my government will not relent untill this project is achieved””.
On the fifty capacity bed hospital by Senator Muhammed Sani Musa of Niger East, the Governor said his administration will extend it to a hundred bed capacity and convert the hospital to General Hospital in its quest tomove health facility closer to the people in the area.
In his remark the chairman of Paikoro Local Government Area, Aminu Yandai appreciated the effort of the Governor in tackling the security challenges of the area and provide a conducive atmosphere for economic activities to strive in the local government and appealed to Governor Bago to extend the five kilometers road project in the area to seven.
Similarly the Governor also promised to earmark two million dollars for poultry farm in Bosso Local Government Area towards providing employment for the youth in addition to enhancing the revenue base of the Local Government Area.
Mohammed Umar Bago said Niger State Government plans to construct a General Hospital in Bosso in a deliberate attempt to bring healthcare services closer to the people.
He however added that he will expedite action towards speedy completion of the projects to enable people of the area, enjoy full democratic dividend.
