The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has raised concerns about the emergence of a new sect identified as Achad Life Mission International.
The Principal Staff Officer to the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), CIS AA Aridegbe, issued a statement urging citizens to stay alert and report any activities linked to the sect.
The statement indicates that reports reveal the group, headquartered in Kaduna and led by Mr. Yokana, who resides in Jos, Plateau State, promotes the revival of African traditions while rejecting both Islam and Christianity.
According to the intelligence, the sect has been actively recruiting members both within Nigeria and internationally.
It is also suspected to be involved in illegal activities, including human trafficking and child separation, raising alarms about its potential threat to society.
It further states that authorities have directed immediate actions, including arrests where necessary, to mitigate any risks associated with the group’s operations.
The Immigration Service emphasized the importance of public cooperation and strict adherence to the directive in addressing the situation.
