Permanent Secretary jigawa state ministry of health and Secretary Taskforce Committee on Covid-19, Dr Salisu Mu’azu

Jigawa State has faulted National Centre for Disease Control NCDC for rating it among the high-risk state for covid-19 infections.

The Permanent Secretary, State Ministry of Health who was also the Secretary Taskforce Committee on Covid-19, Dr Salisu Muazu stated this while briefing newsmen about the establishment of Mobile Court.

According to him, the NCDC supposed to have consult the state taskforce committee to hear from them on the measures taken so far to fight spread of the virus.

Dr Salisu Mu’azu said government had been doing a lot in terms of strengthen the disease surveillance, public enlightenment and enforcement of Covid-19 Infection, Prevention and control, while equally expanding their testing capacity. 

He pointed out that the state had approved for security agencies to use a Mobile court to penalise those who violates Covid-19 public protocol. 

The Commissioner added that government had also directed that public gathering should henceforth not exceed 50% capacity of venue of the occasion.
