Zamfara State Assembly has called on house committee chairmen to submit reports to the plenary for further legislative considerations.

The speaker, Alhaji Nasiru Maazu Magarya who made the call during a plenary at the Council chamber in Gusau, said delay In summiting reports to plenary creat hindered smooth conduct of legislative business.

Nasiru Magarya specifically called on the standing committees on Agriculture and natural resources, Tertiary Education as well as environment and solid minerals development to expedite action in compiling their reports for onward submission.

Other committees whose reports are still pending include Basic, secondary and non formal Education , Public service and that of women and children welfare.

The Speaker also ordered justice and judiciary committee to be fully involved in committees that were about to submit reports for legal advise.

In a related development, the House also deliberated on a bill for the establishment and management of the state Directorate of humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development which was read at the plenary by the House leader Faruk Musa Dosara.
