Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has officially inaugurated the state’s Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Steering Committee.

The committee, chaired by the Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Isa Yusuf Chamo, was inaugurated at the Government House in Dutse.

The Committee’s terms of reference include overseeing the project activities, monitoring and reporting project activities to the Governor, the Federal Ministry of Education and the World Bank.

The World Bank supports the AGILE project, which aims to enhance secondary education opportunities for adolescent girls between the ages of 10 and 20.
