Kano State Police Command has congratulated Muslim faithful and residents on the upcoming Eid-El-Kabir celebrations, assuring adequate security measures to ensure a peaceful and safe environment.

This was contained in a media statement made available by the police public relations officer of the Kano Police Command SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

The statement said as part of its commitment to sustaining peace, the Command has placed a ban on all Durbar activities throughout the State for the festive period.

This decision was made after series of security reports and consultations with relevant stakeholders to ensure the safety of the community.

Worshippers are advised to conduct their normal Eid Prayers at designated grounds, while the Command encourages continued collaboration and cooperation from all stakeholders to build a safer environment.

Residents are urged to report any suspicious activities or items to the nearest Police Station or through the Command’s emergency contact numbers and online media platforms.
