Kwara State Police Command has rescued a Chinese national PengChao Zhang kidnapped by armed men in Eiyenkorin , Asa local government area of the state.
In a statement, the spokesperson of the command DSP Ejire-Adeyemi Toun said that six armed men forcefully abducted Mr. PengChao Zhang (also known as Williams Kaka amongst his business associates) at a guest house on March 10, 2024.
The statement said the Command’s tactical teams and vigilante executed a series of strategic search and investigation leading to the safe rescue of the victim .
The statement explained that the victim has since been reunited with his family unharmed.
The statement noted that the achievement underscores the unwavering commitment of the State Police Command in ensuring safety and security of all residents and visitors within the state.
The statement urged the general public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies for prompt action.
