Speaker of the Niger State House of Assembly,  Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji has led members of the tenth Assembly on a sympathy visit to the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago over the recent robbery attack in his palace.

The Speaker who described the attack as unfortunate also regretted that the incident occured when efforts were geared towards addressing all forms of insecurity in the state.

According to Barrister Abdulmalik Sarkin Daji, if a respected and secured place like the Emir’s Palace could come under attack then all of us are not safe and urged security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice.

While assuring that the State House Assembly will work with the Executive Arm of Government to ensure that not only Minna but the entire state is secured.

In his remark, Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago thanked the Lawmakers for the sympathy visit over the robbery attack and expressed gratitude to God that no life was lost during the robbery attack.

He however assured the State Assembly of  cooperation of the State Council of Traditional Rulers to succeed in their legislative duties.
