The People’s Democratic Party has won the Gubernatorial election for Plateau State.

Returning Officer for the election in the State and Deputy Vice Chancellor Federal University Lafiya Professor Idris Amadi announced the results at the INEC collation Center in Jos.

The result showed that Mr Caleb Mutfwang of the People’s Democratic Party pulled five hundred and twenty five thousand, two hundred and ninty nine votes to defeat his closest rival Dr Nentawe Yilwatda who got four hundred and eighty one thousand, three hundred and seventy votes, while Dr Patrick Dakum of the Labour Party got Sixty thousand, three hundred and ten votes.

The result showed that the PDP’s Caleb Mutfwang won in ten Local Government Areas while Dr Nentawe Yilwatda won in seven Local Government Areas.
