A late afternoon fire outbreak has destroyed over forty shops at Dan Dabino Tomatoes Market, Bagwai local government area of Kano State.

The Public Relations Officer, Kano State Fire Service, PFA Saminu Yusif Abdullahi made the disclosure to newsmen in Kano.

According to him, Bichi Fire Station received a distress call from staff officer Bichi Police Station, that Dan Dabino seasonal tomato market was on fire.

He noted that, on arrival the fire fighters discovered that, an area of about 500 X 300 ft use as a tomatoes seasonal market, was engulfed by inferno.

Saminu pointed out that, the team succeeded in quenching the fire, and prevented it from spreading to about twenty permanent shops, event center, and vehicles parking space, located near the tomato market.

The public relations officer, attributed the disaster to misuse of naked fire, within the market which triggered the inferno

Similarly, another fire disaster had destroyed seven shops in Sumaila local government area.

The public relations officer, maintained that, an electric spark from a phone accessories shop, resulted to the disaster which completely razed a floor of about 100 X 40 ft use as a business premises.
