Operatives of Zamfara state Police Command have rescued 15 kidnap victims who were kidnapped along Gusau-Tsafe road.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Shehu Mohammed who revealed this to Newsmen during a press briefing today (Thursday) said, the victims were kidnapped on Monday this week.

According to him, the kidnappers abandoned the victims due to pressure by the search and rescue team of the police who went to the Bandits’ enclaves and rescued the victims.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the rescued victims included 7 women, 6 men and 2 children.

SP Shehu said, the victims were debrief by the commissioner of Police CP Kolo Yusuf, medically checked by the police medical team and will be handed over to their family after the press briefing.
