The Niger State Universal Basic Education Board has said that it has brought back over two hundred and twenty four thousand drop out children to schools through the Better Education Service Delivery For All BESDA since it’s inception two years ago.

Chairman of the Board Alh Saidu Ibrahim announced this while addressing Newsmen at the end of this year parley in Minna.

Alh Saidu Ibrahim explained that very soon a committee of members from the Board would be going to Morocco to look at how the Moroccan government succeseded in integrating Almajiri education into formal system of education for necessary action.

He said they will study and develop the Niger state model for adoption so that issue of out of school children in.the state will be a thing of the past and that hopely the state would be first in Nigeria to do that.

According to him the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board has paid all the arrrears of about four thousand local facilitators for BESDA amounting to over two hundred and eighty five million naira while that of seven hundred Alaramma’s have also been cleared.

Alh Saidu Ibrahim further said Niger state government has paid it’s marching grant of over two billion naira to the Universal Basic Education Commission UBEC for twenty nineteen twenty twenty and twenty twenty one stresseing that what Nigerlites should expect from the Board is better and improved service delivery as far as primary school education is concern.

He commended Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger state for providing them with an enabling environment as well as the necessary support to thrive stressing that it was responsible for their success story.

Alh Saidu Ibrahim however added that currently the Board has embarked on the execution of one hundred and fifty projects to include the construction rehabilitation fencing as well as provision of toilets in primary schools spread across twenty five local government councils in Niger state to take education to the next level.
