COV. USMAN MZ FROM JIGAWA STATE

Jigawa State government has recorded another death of an aged woman believed to have died of Covid 19 in the state capital.

Governor Badaru Abubakar disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the government house in Dutse.

He explained that, an elderly woman who had for some time been suffering from some ailments was taken to the hospital only to be confirmed to have contracted the virus.

Governor Badaru pointed out that, covid-19 cases in the state have risen to 47 people whom were tested positive including the members of National Youth service Corps NYSC, while the number of death stands at twelve.

He said, as part of measures to reduce the spread of the virus, the state government ha8 ordered civil servants from level 12 downward to work from home.

According to him, other measures include compulsory use of face mask, observing social distancing, regular hand washing and restrictions of any activities of more than fifty people in the state.

The Governor therefore, seek the support and cooperation of people to fight against the spread of the virus.
