Bandits have laid seige on Niger communities for five days killing a monarch, pregnant woman and abducted several others.

The incident occurred at the weekend when seven bandits carrying dangerous weapons took the pregnant woman to a nearby forest and raped her several times.

This therefore led to her death at Dnakundna in Shiroro local government council of Niger state.

She was abducted by the bandits while trying to flee the community with her three children.

It was learnt that the villagers have embarked on mass exodus from their community due to their in ability to pay two million naira levy imposed on them by the bandits.

One of the villagers who pleaded anonymity told Newsmen that the ultimatum given to them by bandits to pay the levy has expired on Friday thus the incessant abduction of their people.
