Corruption has continued to persist in Nigeria because offenders are not being punished.

The Chairman, Niger State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN Bishop Bulus Yohanna stated this while fielding questions from Newsmen in Minna.

Bishop Bulus Yohanna maintained that if you don’t punish offenders and perpetrators of any negative act you are indirectly encouraging what was going own to continue.

According to the clergyman, if those involved in corrupt practices are being punished, that will serve as a deterrent to others thereby making it less attractive for other people to venture.

Bishop Bulus Yohanna however emphasized that candidates of various political parties vying for elective positions in the 2023 general elections to be up and doing in addressing the current ills and restore Nigeria to it’s former glory.

On the celebration of Christmas and New Year, the Chairman reminded Christians that Christmas should be a special period that brings people the world over together with one purpose to celebrate togetherness joy, peace, and above all to share love through the exchange of goodwill and gifts.
