SP Abdu Jinjiri, Jigawa State PPRO

Jigawa State Police Command has averted kidnapped attack in Jahun local government area.

Public Relations officer of the command SP Abdu Jinjiri disclosed this to newsmen in Dutse.

According to him, the Police in Jahun local government said kidnappers numbering about 12, armed with dangerous weapons, stormed the house of a fifty two year old man of Akama Bakin Kasuwa quarters in Jahun town, kidnapped and robbed him the sum of N140,000,

He pointed out that the bandits arrived on motorcycles and fired gunshots in the air.

SP Abdu jinjiri said the police rushed to the scene, blocking all entries and exits in the town, and alerted neighboring divisions.

He added that following the closure of the exits, the kidnappers were not able to escape as they abandoned the kidnapped man in Gujungu area and zoomed away on thier motorcycles.

He said investigation was ongoing in order to apprehend the kidnappers.

The PRO therefore called on people in the state to continue to provide credible and timely information about the activities of criminals.
