Women in Kano have been advised to compliment government’s efforts by voting for APC at all levels, to enable the party continue to execute meaningful projects for the development of the state and nation in general.
The wife of Kano speaker, Hajiya Humaira Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari, made the call during a sensitization campaign on importance of voting, held at Makoda Local government area.
According to her, APC has fulfilled all it’s campaign promises at national, state and local government levels, as such there was the urgent need for eligible voters especially women to come out enmasse to cast their votes.
Hajiya Humaira stressed that, Kano state government under the leadership of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been at the forefront of developing the life of women through education, health, agriculture, enterpreneurship empowerment, employment opportunities among others.
She highlighted that, the state is one of the states with high percentage of females employed into key positions from wards to state levels in addition to setting up various women committees to uplift the life of women to make them self reliant.
The wife of the speaker explained that if voted as member representing Makoda and Dambatta federal constituency, Alhaji Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari would serve as a dedicated public office holder, that would promote his constituency to international standards.
She charged women to desist from vote buying, and all other societal vices that may tarnish their image.
Some of the participants who spoke to Radio Nigeria Hajiya Rabi, Karima Amadu,Hadiza Abdulkarim, Hadiza Ayuba expressed satisfaction with the level of commitment by the speaker and promised to vote for credible leaders in the 2023 general elections.
