Corporate Affairs Commission CAC has emerged the winner of this year’s Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises NASME Award for excellence in corporate governance and regulation.

The CAC Head, Media, Rasheed Mahe in a statement says the Commission added yet another feat during the NASME 25th Anniversary Lecture and Award Night in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Presenting the award, the President of the Association Dr Abdulrashid Yerima, applauded CAC’s support towards promoting the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs in the country.

Dr Abdulrashid Yerima therefore, solicited the Commission’s continued collaboration with NASME for the growth of the economy.

Receiving the award, the Registrar General and CEO of the CAC, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, thanked NASME for recognizing the Commission’s contributions towards promoting MSMEs’ development in the country.

Represented by the Director, Public Affairs Duke Ukaga, the Registrar General pledged continued support and collaboration with the association to further grow the MSME sector in the country.

The statement reports that other awardees at the event include the Development Bank of Nigeria, the Nigeria Export Promotion Council, SMEDAN, and the Raw Materials Research and Development Council, amongst others.
