A committee to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of former Commissioner for Information and Strategy at the IBB Specialist Hospital has been set up by the Niger state government.
Secretary to the Niger State Government Ahmed Ibrahim Matane who stated this while addressing Newsmen in Minna said the measure is to forestall future occurence and serve as deterrent to others.
Ahmed Ibrahim Matane explained that it was alleged that when late Malam Danladi Ndayebo had an accident on Minna Suleja road was rushed to IBB Specialist Hospital Minna that very night but there was no single doctor to attend to him and his friend and he died the following day due to internal injuries he sustained.
According to him the committee which has been given one week to submit it’s report to government is to find out the circumstances leading to his death as well as to establish if or not there is any negligence from any quota as part of terms of reference of the committee.
Others he said is to review the operation of IBB Specialist Hospital to identify if there is any operational deficiency and recommend to Niger state government on necessary action to be taken.
Ahmed Ibrahim Matane further said another committee to find out the petition against the Chairman Board of Internal Revunue of alleged financial wrecklessness has been set up.
The committee which was given two weeks to submit it’s report is to identify basis for the petition against him and also establish if there is any fraction as well as recommend to Niger state government to ensure good function of the board.
Late former Commissioner for Information and Strategy Malam Danladi Ndayebo was also a one time Chief Press Secretary to former Niger state Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu.
