The chairman house committee on Diaspora Mrs Tolulope Shadipe, stated this when the chairman Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission NIDCOM, Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa, appeared to defend the commission’s 2023 budget.

Mrs Tolulope Shadipe, explained that it was time for Nigerians to support efforts aimed at passing the Bill considering the direction the world is going politically.

The committee Chairman also revealed that the house is also looking at the issue of people of Nigerian descent who are currently not Nigerians but want to return home after DNA tests proved that they have ties to Nigeria.

The Chairman Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Dr Abike Dabiri Erewa, urged Nigerians to stop migrating to other countries without any business plan or jobs at hand.

The Commission’s Chairman however, confirmed that about eighty percent of prisoners in Dubai are Nigerians, who fled there without jobs and run into trouble.
