Chairman board of trustees Arewa consultative forum,Kano chapter, Retired Brigadier General Halliru Akilu

The chairman Board of Trustees of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Kano chapter, retired Brigadier- General Halliru Akilu, has joined Nigerians to commend Kano Emirate Council, for its choice of two new members to replace their predecessors.

In a congratulatory message, signed by Kano state Publicity Secretary, Board of trustees Arewa consultative forum, Alhaji Bello Sani Galadanci, and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

General Akilu, described the appointment of Alhaji Abba Bashir Mahe Bashir, to succeed his father as a deserved choice, in view of his contributions to the social and economic upliftment of his immediate environment.

He urged the new Wali, to emulate his predecessors sterling qualities in public service, and strive to render good services to Kano State and the nation.

On the new Sarkin Bai, General Akilu noted with delight, that Allah had chosen a biological son of the deceased nationalist, Alhaji Muhtar Adnan as Sarkin Bai to step into his shoes.

He however, described him as an International finance guru, renown Economist and academic, who rose to the rank of Director at World Bank, and a former Finance Minister.

The statement adds that, General Akilu congratulated the new appointee and enjoined him to emulate the good character, commitment and perseverance of his late father.
