All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara State says it will not participate in the supplementary bye-election in 14 Polling Units of Bakura State Constituency due poor security.

This was revealed by the party representatives, Alhaji Garba Sani, Alhaji Muttaka Rini and Alhaji Sani Musa, during a stakeholders meeting organized by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Gusau.

The Party’s representatives, who walked out of the meeting, lamented that some of the security agents have compromised and can’t protect lives of voters and election materials, hence making the election a very difficult one.

Alhaji Muttaka Rini of the APC, who spoke to Radio Nigeria, alleged that INEC and Security agencies were not sincere in carrying out their responsibilities, noting that some of the affected polling units were excluded from the supplementary bye election.

However, PDP Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Dan Fulani who attended the meeting, said the party will participate in the election and called on security agents to take action against some utterances made by the APC Representatives on security.

Dan Fulani said PDP is satisfied with the security arrangement.
