Governor Badaru Abubukar of Jigawa state has approved the appointment of Ibrahim Garba Kazaure as the new Jigawa State Surveyor General.

This was contained in a statement signed by the State Head of the Civil Service, Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila and made available to Radio Nigeria.

He explained that the appointment of Ibrahim Garba Kazaure followed the elevation of the former Surveyor General, Abdullahi Hassan to the rank of Permanent Secretary in the State Civil Service.

Alhaji Hussaini Ali Kila said that the appointment of the new Surveyor General is purely on merit and competency.

Kazaure, before his appointment Ibrahim Garba was the assistant surveyor general at the ministry of lands, housing, urban development and regional planning.

The statement further explained that the appointment is with immediate effect.
