Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasiru Ahmed Elrufai says his administration is implementing many policies towards transforming the transport sector for smooth and successful operations in the state.

He stated this at the inauguration of one hundred and ninety six newly elected chapel officials of Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria RTEAN in Kaduna.

Represented by the state Director Transport Regulatory Authority, Mallam Lawal Musa, the governor congratulated the new inaugurated chapel executives , urging the transport employers to always cooperate with security agencies in carrying out their duties.

The Emir of Zazzau Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali represented at the event by Barden Zazzau Dr. Abbas Mailafiya warned leaders against injustice, but to be honest, fair and also listen to demands of members.

Earlier, Kaduna State Chairman of RTEAN Mallam Adamu Jalaludeen said the Association is among the largest employers of labour in the country and promised to open more opportunities for teaming unemployed youths.

Mallam Adamu Jalaludeen emphasised that RTEAN was keying into government laudible programmes and has since engaged security operatives on their vehicles to wipe out hooligans and criminals whenever they are discovered.

The event witnessed the swearing in of 196 executive officers of the Association who were elected from chapels across the twenty three local government areas of the state.
