At least one hundred and ten(110) indigent students from Ilorin East local government area of Kwara state have been awarded scholarship by the daughter of late Rear Admiral Mohammed Lawal .

Presenting the scholarships to some of the beneficiaries at the LGEA Primary School, Oke- Oyi, the headquarters of Ilorin East local government, governor AbdulRazaq thanked the donor for her interest in the education and future of the young ones.

He assured the gathering that his administration will continue to invest heavily in the education sector.

In her remarks, Hajia Arinola Lawal said the scholarship award was implemented in remembrance of her late father – former governor Mohammed Alabi Lawal.

She said the scholarship award will help the indigent students in the pursuit of their educational targets.
