The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC Dr Boboye Oyeyemi has warned staff against extortion and all forms of corrupt practices in the issuance of Drivers license.
Addressing the sector heads of drivers license centers across the country in Abuja, Dr Oyeyemi said information reaching the management about illegal activities by some staff in the drivers license centers was disturbing.
The Corps Marshal noted that non adherence to lay down procedures and process of issuing drivers license contributed to increase in road accidents in the country.
He explained that the two days meeting was designed to ensure that all heads of drivers license centers understand the effects of visual disability on driving as it relates to road traffic crash.
The FRSC Boss also reminded staff of their responsibilities on effective service delivery.
The theme of the meeting is “Consumer Rights As A panacea to Effective Service Delivery in The Drivers License Process”
