Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has won the Governorship primary election under the platform of All Progressive Congress APC.

He pulled six hundred and ninety eight votes to defeated his opponent Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi Adamu who scored three votes.

Announcing the result, the returning officer of the primary election, Alhaji Ahmed Musa Ibeto said the total delegates accredited was seven hundred and thirty five from the thirteen local government areas of the State.

He explained that, the process which was conducted in a peaceful manner commended all the stakeholders in the Party for providing a level playing ground to succeed.

Addressing newsmen shortly after the primary, Governor Abdullahi Sule who expressed delight with primary said he would continue to work hard towards providing more dividend of democracy for development of the State if re-elected for the second term in office.

Also on her part, opponent of the Governor, Hajiya Fatima Abdullahi Adamu who accepted the defeat promised to support the Governor to be re-elected comes next year during the general election.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent report that, out of seven hundred and thirty five delegates that was accredited only seven hundred and one was voted during the process.
